HONDA EX5 1997

First introduced by Boon Siew Honda in 1987, the first-generation Honda EX5 arrived with a 100cc engine and a simple, unmistakable design that would become familiar to generations of Malaysian riders.
What makes it even more interesting is how long that original design lasted. The basic EX5 shape remained largely unchanged for more than a decade, from 1987 until 1998, when the EX5 Class was introduced.
For many Malaysians, the EX5 wasn’t just another motorcycle. It became part of everyday life — a familiar sight on Malaysian roads and a machine remembered by generations of riders.
Here’s a look back at the original 1987 Honda EX5 advertisement.
