Suzuki GSX-10R, the NextGen from Hamamatsu

Suzuki has unveiled the GSX-10R at EICMA 2026. Based on the GSX-S1000, the new sportbike enters Suzuki’s NextGen segment and sits one step below the GSX-R1000 in the lineup.

Design

The GSX-10R wears all-new, sleek bodywork, with an LED headlight and aerodynamic winglets on either side. The fairing deliberately leaves part of the engine exposed, putting the renowned K5 unit on display.

Engine and Performance

The K5 engine now meets Euro 5+ regulations and delivers 152 hp and 106 Nm of torque.

Electronics

To make the most of that performance, Suzuki has equipped the GSX-10R with a comprehensive electronics suite. This includes traction control, the Lift Limiter anti-wheelie system and Roll Torque Control. The real innovation is Slide Control, which helps manage rear-wheel slip. Riders also get three power modes, Launch Control and the Engine Brake Control System.

Standard equipment further includes cruise control, a speed limiter and the Brake Hold Control System, which assists the rider when pulling away on an incline.

Chassis and Suspension

The GSX-10R is built around an aluminium twin-spar frame with an aluminium swingarm. Suspension comes from a fully adjustable 43 mm front fork and a fully adjustable KYB monoshock at the rear, while an electronically controlled steering damper is fitted at the front.

One interesting detail is the rear tyre, which changes from the GSX-S1000’s 190/50 to a 190/55 profile.

Colours

The GSX-10R is available in three colour schemes: blue, black and red.
